How long do LED lighted mirrors last?

by Shree Nagal, Touch2Switch, 08 Jul 2023

LED lighted mirrors have a long lifespan compared to traditional lighting options. LED bulbs are known for their durability and longevity. While the specific lifespan can vary depending on factors such as the quality of the LEDs and usage patterns, LED bulbs typically last much longer than incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.

On average, LED bulbs used in lighted mirrors can last anywhere from 20,000 to 50,000 hours of usage. This means that if you were to use the mirror for 3 hours every day, the LED lights could last approximately 18 to 45 years. Keep in mind that these estimates are rough guidelines and can vary based on the specific product and usage patterns.

LEDs have a significantly longer lifespan compared to incandescent bulbs, which typically last around 1,000 to 2,000 hours. They also outperform compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs), which usually have a lifespan of around 8,000 to 10,000 hours.

It's important to note that while LED bulbs themselves have a long lifespan, other components of the LED mirror, such as the electrical wiring or the mirror surface, may have different lifespans. However, the LED lights themselves are generally designed to last for many years of regular use.
